Lisinopril
Lisinopril belongs to the class of drugs called angiotensin-converting enzyme [ACE] inhibitors. It lowers the blood pressure to treat congestive heart failures. It improves the survival rate after heart attacks. Lisinopril works by reducing certain chemicals which tighten the blood vessels. This allows the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.
